Books, websites and YouTube channels

As far as I know, the Internet is a great place to learn stuff about the Universe in general. There are a great many of websites and YouTube channels that make regular updates on latest research happening about out Solar System and beyond.
However, since the question was about books in specific, I’ll try to answer that. These are some great books that I have read and feel that they are accurate enough.
  1. Universe by Geller, Freedman and Kaufmann
This book is really good if you’re a beginner starting out with learning astronomy in general. It is pretty descriptive, with cool pictures here and there. Universe: Roger Freedman, Robert Geller, William J. Kaufmann: 9781429231534: Amazon.com: Books
2. Astronomy Demystified by Stan Gibilisco
This book is slightly more detailed than the previous ones but is definitely a good read. Astronomy Demystified: Stan Gibilisco: 9780071384278: Amazon.com: Books
However books have a limited scope that they aren’t and can’t be possibly updated from time to time frequently to keep up with the pace of scientific development.
There is this website called “space.com” which is dedicated to updating news about space exploration and research happening around the world every day. They also have a newsletter feature so that you get the latest news everyday in your mail inbox. NASA, Space Exploration and Astronomy News
Let me use this chance to introduce you to some of my favorite astronomy channels too. They do the same job, in a slightly entertaining way by using fascinating video clips along with the news.
Anton Petrov is a YouTuber who uses simulations such as Universe Sandbox, Kerbal Space Program, etc. as a means to explain current space events. He uploads videos everyday on the latest research, even providing links to research papers for the smarter ones. Anton Petrov
Fraser Cain is another astronomy YouTuber who uploads regularly. He also has a newsletter you can subscribe to in which he compiles all the month’s major astronomy and space events into one article. He even has podcasts you can listen to. One special feature of his channel is his QnA videos in which he invites other contemporary astronomers/ astrophysicists/ science communicators to discuss questions asked to him in the comments. Fraser Cain
Dr.Becky is an astrophysicist who has a YouTube channel. Her videos are similar to others in the fact that she too has a column where she discusses latest happenings in the night sky/ space. Dr. Becky
